armin van buuren (born December 25, 1976) is a Dutch trance producer and DJ. He was born in Leiden, Netherlands, but grew up in Koudekerk aan den Rijn. In 2007, 2008, and 2009 he was voted number one DJ in DJ Mag’s annual Top 100 vote. Since 2001 Van Buuren has hosted a weekly radio show called A State of Trance and claims to have over 30 million weekly listeners in more than 40 countries, which would make it the most listened to radio show in the world.

When you look at Tiesto’s concerts, All he seems to do is dance and press some buttons, but sometimes he just dances with out doing anything. So technically he is not playing any music during his performances? or does he? Just curious!
What in detail does the DJ like tiesto does during the concert? I see him during the concert dancing and waving and adjusting things that don’t seem to have much effect on the music.

Yes he does play music.he doesnt have to be pressing buttons all the time.Djs dont do that!

I want to know what is the difference between Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren and also what is comparable between them also?? Do they do the same music like Trance, Progressive, House and euro.. And What are the Difference between Tiesto Club Life and armin van buuren State Of Trance?? PLEASE tell me what ever else about them.. I know they are both from Holland and Tiesto is Ranked #1 and Armin is #2.. THANKS ALLOT EVERYONE

It has to be armin, Tiesto has made good songs but hes remixed way too many songs. ASOT is far superior than Club Life in MY opinion, Tiesto’s lists got stuck in the past and has not evolved as Armin has.
As for their genres, well, Tiesto has worked in House, Progressive and Trance His stage presence is much better than Armin’s.
Armin plays mostly Trance and a bit of Progressive, he has remained a little truer to his roots. He is an artist to rather listen to than watch when compared to tiesto.
You should listen to their old works and notice the change and progression they have made as artists and not rely on us to form an opinion.
I admire them both, but i listen mostly to Pete Tong.

I’ve skimmed through quite a lot of his songs on iTunes and I just can’t find it. It’s not one of his live songs at the Heineken Music Hall, it’s a song that plays in one of the rooms at the Heineken Museum…
